How therapy helps

Support built around your specific transition

Using CBT, we'll work through the specific thoughts and patterns that come up around your transition, whatever it is, and build practical footing for what comes next. This isn't generic advice; it's built around your actual circumstances.

  • CBT-based support tailored to your specific transition
  • Practical tools for decision-making and uncertainty, not just processing
  • Telehealth-only, so sessions fit around a schedule that may already be in flux
  • A pace that's built around you, not a fixed timeline

Common questions

What counts as a life transition?

Almost anything that changes your day-to-day: a career change, divorce or breakup, relocation, becoming a parent, retirement, an empty nest, or recovering from a major loss. If it's upended what felt stable, it counts.

How long does this type of therapy usually take?

It varies widely. Some clients come in for a focused handful of sessions around a specific transition; others prefer ongoing support through a longer adjustment period. We'll check in regularly on what's working.

Do I need a diagnosis to start?

No. Many clients come in simply because a season of change has been harder than expected, not because of a formal diagnosis. That's a completely valid reason to reach out.

What does payment look like?

Renew Counseling is private-pay, with sessions at $150 for 50 minutes. A superbill can be provided on request if you'd like to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurer. Full details are on the Rates page.
