What anxiety can look like day to day

Anxiety doesn't always look like panic. Often, it's quieter and more constant than that.

Racing Thoughts

Racing, looping thoughts

A mind that won't stop running through worst-case scenarios, even when you're exhausted.

Physical Symptoms

Physical tension

A racing heart, tight chest, upset stomach, or muscle tension that shows up without warning.

Avoidance

Avoidance

Steering clear of certain people, places, or conversations just to keep the anxiety at bay.

Sleep Trouble

Trouble sleeping

Lying awake replaying the day, or waking up already anticipating tomorrow's worries.

Overthinking

Perfectionism & overthinking

Replaying conversations, over-preparing, or struggling to make decisions for fear of getting it wrong.

Panic

Panic attacks

Sudden, intense waves of fear or physical symptoms that can feel frightening and out of nowhere.

How therapy helps

Practical tools, not just talk

Sessions are grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the most well-supported approaches for anxiety. Together, we'll work on understanding the thought patterns feeding your anxiety, and build concrete strategies you can use in the moments it shows up, not just in session.

  • CBT-based strategies for racing thoughts, worry, and panic
  • Practical tools you can use between sessions, not just in the room
  • Telehealth-only, so sessions fit into your routine wherever you are
  • A pace that's built around you, not a fixed script

Questions about anxiety therapy

How long does anxiety therapy usually take?

It varies. Some clients notice a difference within a handful of sessions using specific coping tools; others prefer ongoing support as they work through longer-standing patterns. We'll check in regularly on what's working.

Can this help with panic attacks specifically?

Yes. CBT is one of the most well-supported approaches for panic, and we'll work on both understanding what triggers them and building tools to manage them when they happen.

Do I need a formal anxiety diagnosis to start?

No. Plenty of clients come in dealing with worry, overthinking, or stress that hasn't been formally diagnosed. That's a completely valid reason to reach out.

What does payment look like?

Renew Counseling is private-pay, with sessions at $150 for 50 minutes. A superbill can be provided on request if you'd like to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurer. Full details are on the Rates page.
